Clinik Presents FunkDelux 19/08/11
In what is traditionally deemed to be a quieter period in the Leeds clubbing calendar, Clinik continues full throttle during the summer months, with their trademark sounds of the finest house music showcased at each event by a blend of the best local talent alongside DJ’s who have been rocking dance floors for years.
The summer months have seen Clinik invite carefully chosen brands for exclusive... collaborative events, and August sees them welcome Funkdelux.
In addition to this we are very pleased to announce that this event will be sponsored by Jägermeister, and will feature an appearance by the gorgeous Jägerettes who will be on hand from midnight to 1am on the night so make sure you get there early!
In addition to this there are special drinks offers all night, live entertainers and CD giveaways.
Clinik
Launching in June 2010 with a weekly residency every Sunday at V Club in San Antonio, Ibiza, Clinik kicked off 2011 with a party at ‘The best club in Clapham’ (TimeOut London), Inigo, before making its long awaited debut in Leeds. In what was a true case of good things coming to those who wait, Clinik was able to make its mark in the city in style, launching a monthly residency in May at the 2009 best club in Leeds (DJ Mag), and home to Back2Basics, Stinky’s Peephouse.
FunkDelux
Funkdelux have been making waves since 2003 having hosted events at many of the major venues in the UK and Ibiza. Most recently kicking off their 8th year in Ibiza at legendary Ibizan venue Space alongside Armin van Buuren, as well as at Es paradis and Bora Bora, they returned to host the house room at Gatecrasher, Birmingham at an event which featured the legendary Paul Oakenfold.
With a full diary until the end of the year, taking in dates at Pacha, London, amongst others, FunkDelux continue to rise through the ranks.
The Venue
A true clubbers venue with a rich heritage, Stinky’s Peephouse features everything you could want to find at a club; a Funktion 1 sound system, an inviting garden and smoking area perfect for those balmy summer nights and a perfect atmosphere for discerning clubbers from Leeds and further afield. All of this, coupled with the Clinik soundtrack ensures a memorable night is had every time.

Benjamin Leung
In such a competitive music industry, it takes something a little extra to stand out from the crowd. And while UK based producer Benjamin Leung has not been in the house scene for that long, he has crafted and honed his skills like any seasoned veteran. He has held residencies in Ibiza and has performed at some of the world's best stages under various aliases including the award winning Global Gathering and prestigious Creamfields festival.
Weaving together soulful melodies, balearic beats and cutting edge production techniques, his music has instantly lodged itself into some of the most prestigious CD wallets held by the world's best DJs. Some of the names that have supported his music include Axwell, Umek, Erick Morillo, Marco Bailey, Eddie Halliwell, Spektre, Paul Van Dyk and his music has been released on Blackhole Recordings / Avanti, Strictly Rhythm / Soda, Adapt Recordings and more.
His remix of the massive "Wanna Be Closer" by Optimo & Soraya Vivian held strong in the top 5 for 10 consecutive weeks and his forthcoming single "You & Me" has been licensed to a Ministry Of Sound compilation. Keep an eye out as well for "Shuffle", a recent collaboration with Jim Neild and house diva Shena, who's vocals have appeared on classics such as "The Weekend - Michael Gray" and "Watch Out - Alex Gaudino".
