HANGAR is landing to host the exclusive XTRAVAGANCE Innovation party @ Stinky’s Peephouse – Friday April 15th

HANGAR has been treating Leeds to line ups too smutty for the top shelf at the corner shop for almost a year now. Month after month of the messiest shenanigans and naughtiest music policy has seen us getting recognition from Innovation, giving us for one night only some of their biggest hitting artists and the spectacular Harry Shotta Showcase!

For this very special event Stinky’s has thrown open its doors and spread its decks for the absolute dons of drum and bass, GROOVERIDER, PHANTASY and the one NICKY BLACKMARKET. And just in case you were wondering where the face-screwing filth is at SUB ZERO, our fearless residents and DJ competition winner are locked to bring in the lower frequencies.

If you don’t know then you need to know that our venue is top notch. Sickest smoking area in Leeds complete with outdoor bar, cheap drinks promotions and a dutty Funktion:One soundsystem to boot. And then there’s the filthy bad boy rasclating line up. Just get on it.


Room One

GROOVERIDER
Starting off our trio of drum and bass legends is the unconquerable Grooverider, ready to slam down his skills as a pioneer of the genre, a talented mixer and a man who stays at all times one step ahead of the freshest dubplates.

PHANTASY
One of the originators of drum and bass, a key figure in the rise of dance music in general and the man behind Easy Records, Phantasy is nothing other than a legend on the scene. Expect a banging set drawing heavily on the sickest jungle tunes to the heavyweight jump up. 

NICKY BLACKMARKET
And the MCs say Nicky, Nicky Nicky Blackmarket… for a reason. From the legendary Blackmarket records back in ‘92 to decks all over the world, the dnb behemoth that is Nicky has cracked out a banging live set for more years than any of you can probably remember and still finds time to work his record shop floor.

SUB ZERO Returning to HANGAR to lay down the filth for which the jump up heads love him dearly, Sub Zero is back with his incredible production and bolt tight mixing to get the entire dancefloor rolling to the floor. This man in Playaz through and through.

DJ PROPHECY
Where to start? From mashing up dances across the globe, to pioneering the massive brand that is METROPOLIS. If you know Leeds, then you know this man. Get ready for a serious mash up of the music that we love.


SATIVA DUB b2b SILENT.TYPE
The SATIVA DUB & SILENT.TYPE duo is one that is becoming fast recognised in Leeds, with bookings still rolling in from established nights such as Innovation, Breakin Science, Muzik Hertz, Def:inition, Oh My God! Sticky @ Scarla and many more, expect a huge set filled with dubplates, ear shattering bass, breaks and everything in between. This jump up duo are something you DO NOT want to miss.

DUB MOTION b2b ZILLAH
The London & Birmingham link up. With Dub Motion gradually cementing himself in the London drum and bass scene, getting booking from left, right and centre, boosting his excellent production sound. Expect a deep mix with everything from jump up, liquid, the deeper side of dnb and of course the dub motion dubs!
Hangar Resident Zillah graces the decks with our London bad man on this one. Zillah has firmly stepped on drum and bass in Leeds, playing numerous nights around the City. As well as hosting our show on Radio Frequency. There is nothing more to say than this man knows how it goes down. Expect big things.


DJ SKETCHII
HANGAR knows the importance of supporting fresh talent and up and comers, and after being seriously impressed with his entry for our DJ competition, we are giving Sketchii a slot in the booth to dazzle you dizzled skankers with his raw skill.

HARRY SHOTTA SHOWCASE
From the heart of the UNCZ crew to the floor of Stinky’s the unbeatable MC Harry Shotta will lay waste to your ears with an artful live mash up of dnb, dubstep, grime and hip hop… Prepare to get your phone out for a very live and seriously bad demonstration of the Shotta’s skill.

SKIBADEE
Over 15 awards. Over 20 years in the game. The drum and bass don of the mic has landed. Do we need to say anything? This man is massive and not to be missed!

IC3
Aka El Matadore, this wicked MC has graced the scene for ages. To his sick bars, to the banter he supplies. IC3 is the best in the business at what he does. Too much love for the IC!

RHYMES
A world-wide recognised Mc. Rhymes and the music mafia have been smashing raves all over Europe for years. Apart from at the bar, you can catch Rhymes mashing up our dance on the 15th.

SPEACH
London Mc and promoter, MC Speach makes the journey up the M1 to showcase what he's all about. Expect big things from this lyricist from past, present, and future.


Room Two

Innovation has selected their rawest up and comers for a fresh vibe in Room Two, with Radio Frequency stars and HANGAR favourites ANTIX b2b VECTA (Second to None Music) coming back for more.
