tWaDdLe started out life in 2006 as an underground night located in the tiny basement of Dare Cafe in Headingley, Leeds. In spite of the frustrations of the diners above the night was an instant success. The marriage of the music of its resident DJs with the die-hard support of friends, clubbers and the general public resulted in a unique party atmosphere being born. Due to the popularity of the events, tWaDdLe moved to the infamous 'Black Box' room at Stinkys Peephouse creating a unique fusion of innovative and intelligent artists with an unpretentious and intimate atmosphere.
By 2007 the tWaDdLe bandwagon was really rolling with a hard core base of raucous revellers on board, they recruited high calibre resident DJs such as Leftroom Records' Matt Tolfrey and Trimsound founder Tom Ellis. These two have played along side an astute selection from the underground house and techno scenes from Audio Werner to Chris Duckenfield.
Guests for the 2008 season included Kreon (Cecile, Robsoul), Lauhaus (Polder, Remote Area) and Detroit legend Daniel Bell, playing alongside monthly residents Christian Maiden, Neil McDermott and Brother Bull & Skipper. The undoubted highlight of this third season however, came in the form of Montreal's funk phenomenon Guillaume & The Coutu Dumonts, who prompted such demand that tWaDdLe had to relocate to the main room of MyHouse. The venue was completely transformed, and an unprecedented number of tWaDdLers raised the roof, as well as tWaDdLe's reputation. It is in the prestigious main room of Stinkys Peephouse that tWaDdLe now spends most if its days.
This, tWaDdLe's fourth year, has seen such world class artists as Santos Resiak, Ekkohaus, Lauhaus, Martinez and Miss Fitz all play for the night. The biggest treats of the year are yet to come however, with the hotly anticipated appearance of house legend DJ Sneak playing in February and tWaDdLe's fourth birthday which is sure to be another wild carnival-esque party.
